With the college football season underway, more and more fans are talking about the different college football polls. With over one hundred teams alone in the top level of college football, it is impossible for all the teams to play one another. So how does a champion be crowned? Well, it has a lot to do with the college football rankings, thus sparking some serious debates between the different fans and sportswriter’s around the country.
In my own personal opinion both sides has a case for the college football polls controversy. On the one hand a college football playoff system probably would determine a true national champion… But for those who want retain the current BCS or Bowl Championship Series, they make a good case also. For one thing as the old saying goes ‘if it ain’t broke then don’t fix it’… Another argument for the BCS system is that it makes the regular season games more meaningful.
