There are lots of ghost photographs on the Internet but we’re always asking are they real? As we know, some are fake.
How can we tell the difference?
Here are some 4 tips.
1. Long exposure
Put camera on tripod for 10 second exposure. Get someone to run out of the picture after about 3 seconds. Give a ghostly transparent image.
2. Bright signs in the background
Sometimes shiny signs such as stop signs can be reflected by camera flashes. Makes it appear as an orb is floating around in the background.
3. Dust on a negative
Doesn’t happen as much now since most people are going digital. It is when there are dust specks on the negative film which are picked up as floating white spots once the film is developed.
4. Over exposure
This happens when two pictures overlap because the film was not advanced properly in the camera. One image will be superimposed on the other and the haunting image will appear very ghost-like.
Before you believe a ghost image is real, take the time to study it and do your research. Photographs can be manipulated and there are many claims out there which are in deed false.
