Aloe Vera is best described in TV commercials of shampoos, bath soaps and skin lotions. But did you know that the benefits of Aloe Vera do not stop there? Besides the well-known cosmetic uses, Aloe Vera has been used as herbal medicine. The Aloe Vera extracts can heal wounds and burns. It is also useful in treatment of indigestion, diabetes and hypertension.
Aloe Vera can also be used in cooking but does that mean it is a spice too? Spices are commonly dried and ground seeds, fruits, leaves, roots or barks that are used to add flavor in cooking, to give color or preservative in food. Cinnamon, fennel, cloves, mustard, black peppers, and so on.
