All laptop computers are not created equal.
This has nothing to do with discrimination! (Grin) In all seriousness, before you make an investment in a new laptop, small netbook or MacBook computer, do your research to make sure you are getting what you need, paying only for the features you will actually use, and getting the best deal you can. Reviewing small laptop computers BEFORE you purchase is wise.
I recently purchased a 15-inch MacBook Pro. I need the extra design and power that this model provides, and I also need the ability to run windows simultaneously. The 13-inch model in and of itself was not quite enough, yet I definitely did not need the 17-inch MacBook Pro (nor did I want to spend the extra money or carry the extra weight), but the 15-inch model is perfect.
My mom uses a netbook and although they are very small, she only uses hers for email, Facebook, and occasionally surfing the web. She also likes to keep her computer in the open kitchen/den area where she spends the majority of her time, so having a smaller and less intrusive laptop was a key factor in her purchase.
My son would never consider anything other than an Apple MacBook, and my husband is a finance guy and prefers Dell Laptops.
