If you want to believe it or not, cat training is possible. It can be a very time consuming endeavor, since cats are much more independent than dogs. Although older cats can be trained to some extent, it is best that you start when they are very young. Cat Obedience Training
If you want to train your cat to be obedient, then you need to make sure that you are consistent with your cats training.
Make sure that you and the other members of the family always use the cat’s name. When you keep repeating the name, it will get used to it and respond to it every time you call them. Once they starts responding to their name, make sure you offer them a reward and praise them well. This technique will reinforce the training and they will like the attention and the treats they get.
Once they starts responding to their name you can proceed to the next step of training them to sit. Training like this needs patients and lots of treats for your feline friend. Call them and once they come, let them smell the treat from your hand.
Let the treat be placed about one foot above their head. Firmly admonish it with a strict “No” if they try to stand or paw it and remove the treat. Again, hold the treat about one foot above their head and let her stand on their hind legs. Before they can paw it, place the treat in front of their legs. When done regularly, this exercise will teach it how them how to sit.
