Travel for singles is growing at a rapid pace especially the cruise industry who is flat out adding enticing exotic itineraries to attract the singles market.
Lone travellers are now dictating on what they want when they cruise. They don’t want children running around from deck to deck, the single passenger is looking to connect with other likeminded travellers who are active and fit and want to get the most out of their cruise experience.
Surveys have revealed the traveller is usually in their 30 – 60 year range with a mix of both male and female interested in cruising on their own but open minded in mixing with others in the same single status. This doesn’t mean that they necessarily want to pair off in fact they are usually are very keen to form friendships whilst on board their cruise.
Further information on solo travellers is that they are likely to seek companionship and this is made a lot easier when cruise lines have interesting activities on board that would entice the single to come along and try an activity that they wouldn’t normally get the chance to try if they were at home.
There are a variety of cruises about that not only cater for the lone traveller that they also cater for the passenger that likes to experience adventure activities while in port. Some of these activities could be rock climbing, kayaking or white water rafting. These activities again are perhaps not something that they would feel comfortable attending on their own but with a group excursion where there is a mix of experience, youth and age this adds up to a lot of fun!
